My love and fascination with photography started at Johnston High School when I agitated an 8x10 print in developer revealing the magic of the dark room. As I looked for outlets for my passion I found the school newspaper and yearbook a very welcoming fit as well as freelancing for local papers.
I have spent the last 15 years working at the Waterloo Courier (Lee Enterprise newspaper) as a staff photojournalist and photo editor. In 2006 I graduated from Hawkeye Community College with an Associate of Applied Arts degree in Professional Photography.
With the endless opportunities the metro provides as well as my family ties, I have moved to Des Moines to continue my photography business. I’m currently employed in sales at Christian Photo. I have a few more new adventures in the works so follow me on Twitter.
